ABOUT KIS AUTOMATION

'Keep It Simple' has been the design philosophy for over 25 years in the special machine and automation industry. With the huge growth in automation due to limited workforce availability, smaller companies not familiar with automation may be overwhelmed and hesitant to lay out capital for a new project. KIS Automation helps provide you with a clear pathway to a successful automation project with minimal startup investment.

Having several automation integrators quoting your project can yield very different results. Integrators are hesitant to share the details of their concepts to protect their creative rights. This makes your decision process complex and uncertain by not fully understanding what the end product will be.

KIS Automation provides a non-biased, transparent approach to developing the scope of work with you. This information can then be used to build the system yourself or outsource to an integrator using the RFQ package. KIS provides as little or as much system development as needed to help you be successful.

MEET SCOTT

Automation Architect | Owner

I've been in the automation industry since the early 1990's where I started assembling and installing CNC Machine tool accessories and automation. I was given a chance to try my hand at AutoCAD and have been doing drawings and modeling ever since.

For most of my career, I’ve worked for small companies, performing more than one job and wearing many hats. Whether I was doing applications work, project management work, or engineering, it all revolved around providing automated concepts and systems to our customers.

Having the background of completing the assembly and installations as well as developing proposals and managing turnkey systems, has given me a wide range of skills with the benefit of seeing the whole picture. I have worked with some of the best controls and robotics designers in the Midwest and this has significantly impacted how I view systems from a process and safety standpoint.

‘Keep It Simple’ is the phrase I've been using for many years when challenged with difficult projects. I hear these words in almost every kickoff or concept meeting with customers. This drove home the inspiration for naming my company and reminds me each day to follow this mantra.
